Introduction

Thanks again for your interest in becoming the “CSA community host” for your J & J community CSA. Without you this will never work and we are committed to helping you succeed in representing J & J Grassfed Beef to your friends, neighbors and community. The only necessary equipment is a phone and computer with email. After this your ability to network with those interested in receiving the highest quality all natural grassfed beef grown right here in California is all you’ll need to get your community coop going. Role of the Community CSA Lead

New Members

In order for J & J to begin monthly delivery to your area we will need a minimum of 15 coop members. J & J will also deliver every other month for CSA’s between 9-14 members but your greatest value and flexibility is with a monthly delivery. (The same ordering, delivery and pick up options apply to both size groups.) As the CSA Host you will be responsible for promoting and spreading the word about J & J using any ideas you may have. J & J will do our best to assist you with any materials or resources you may need to promote our beef and the CSA system of buying. Once a new member is interested you will prompt them to sign up via the “J & J Membership and Order” form. They can receive both forms as an attachment from you or fill them out on the web. New membership forms must be forwarded via email (preferred) or faxed to us by the host.

Delivery

As the community CSA host you will need to establish a delivery location, day and time that is best for your group. Once set it will not be changed barring the necessity of a new location or the majority of the group wanting or needing a new time. (What we need at J & J is a set delivery day and time every month that we can count on.) We will do our best to accommodate any time or day that works best for your coop, excluding Sundays.

Compensation

For your time and effort with J & J you will receive, your membership fee waived and 25% off your monthly order of meat. As your coop grows you will receive more discounts and perks. As our community CSA host we hope that you will feel compensated for the time and effort you will be putting in for J & J. Our best form of compensation is our greatest attribute…our beef.
